Former Rivers State Lawmaker Murdered In Port Harcourt

A former member of Rivers State House of Assembly, Monday Eleanya, was yesterday, shot dead by gunmen on Ada George Road, Port Harcourt.

 Report has it that he was driving in his SUV when the gunmen opened fire on him, killing him on the spot. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Ahmad Muhammad, told newsmen that the Police was aware that somebody was killed on that road but was not aware of the identity of the person. 

“I am aware somebody was shot dead in the morning on that road. But I am yet to know if it is the same person you are asking about. I don’t have his identity yet. So I don’t know if we are talking about the same person,” he said.
