Wike Sacks Commissioner Of Work

Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike has sacked his Commissioner of Works, Mr Bathuel Harrison with immediate effect.

In a press statement released by the media aide on electronics to the governor, Mr Simeon Nwakaudu reads, “Rivers State Governor, Nyesom EzenwoWike has relieved the State Commissioner of Works, Mr Bathuel Harrison of his appointment with immediate effect.


The former commissioner has been directed to hand over to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works”, the statement said.

This is the second Commissioner of Works to come under the sledge hammer of the governor since he came on board. Meantime, Mr Nwakaudu in his statement did not give any reason for the sack.
