Enyimba Knocked Out Of CAF Champions League

Enyimba slim hope of progressing to the knockout stage of the money spinning CAF Champions league was dashed following a 1-0 group stage defeat to Zamalek at the Petro Sport Stadium in Cairo on Monday.

Bassem Morsy's second half strike from the spot after Enyimba's captain Chinedu Udoji  handled the ball inside the 18 yard box ensures Enyimba's wait for any continental glory continues.

Meanwhile, Zamalek have booked a place in the knockout stage after securing six points to finish behind Group B leaders Mamelodi Sundowns with nine points.

As it stands, Paul Aigbogun’s men will kiss the continental club championship goodbye despite still hosting Sundowns at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt on August 23.
